Just a quick note to say that http://www.debian-news.net/ has a MEPIS section at

Debian-news is about one simple thing - news about Debian GNU/Linux and the top free distributions based on Debian GNU/Linux.

Currently that means news about Debian GNU/Linux, Danm Small Linux, MEPIS, KNOPPIX and Ubuntu.

I hope this is not regarded as an advertisment, but you may not be familiar with the site.
