Is there any way we can use webcams for chatting in simplymepis using yahoo messenger? Is it possible,I'm a Newbie in Linux I need Help Thanks

dont know about yatch
but using MSN networks is the best bet use aMSN you can install this by synaptic
i have one of these web cams from that web site and have used the web cam with it it's the cheeper one
when using the cam the rest of the computer tends to slow down
aMSN does support webcams
yatch is hard to install i think. cant say about using yahoo
to do web cam though

Gyach. There is a topic for that in Mepis-lovers forum. Gyach rpm-package is converted to .deb using Alien. Of couse the webcam should be supported by linux also.
Qnext is another webcam-messenger which works between linux and windows machines. For webcam it uses its own protocol so both clients have be Qnext. Text chat supports also other protocols.
