simplymepis 3.3.2 final

Hi,
when can we expect final version of 3.3.2 ? The last news says that "This is expected to be the last test release of SimplyMEPIS 3.3.2. Final is expected to be publicly available in one to two weeks.". That was on 25.08., that is six weeks ago Smiling Can you give any approximate date? Thanks in advance.

didn't someone

someone, maybe even you, ask this question last week?
the answer is always, when it's ready.

i struck another big hiccup on a beta test box this week and unless you want an auto-filling hard drive with reports on your pci devices, perhaps we'd better wait til this problem is investigated

Sorry, it wasn't me... I

Sorry, it wasn't me... I didn't know where to look for such topics, I couldn't find any in "development".

How's This?

drlizau, perhaps a post can be put on the home page of Mepis.org:

SimplyMEPIS 3.3.2:
It keeps going, and going, and going...

Smiling

I agree with you. Look at all the frackas that's been going on because of the "New Improved Instability!" of the Debian repos, the ongoing upgrading of KDE 3.4, and soon-to-be-arriving OpenOffice.org 2.0!

I LOVE being able to get bleeding-edge software (sometimes). At the same time, when stuff is loaded on a PRODUCTION SYSTEM, I don't like getting cut too often.

I also respect and admire the work of all the testers out there who regularly fry their boxes to help make things work. I was going to say some bad things about MS, but I deleted it Smiling

Keep up the good work testing gang!

Jon

testing time

it's only by installing a testing machine under a decent load that you can find some bugs.
i had 2.8G free on a root partition on Monday, and by Thursday it was 100% full.
It will take a few more days to determine just what is filling it, instead of just what it is being filled with, and until then I can't let Warren know much more.
It looks like /proc/kcore is growing constantly but this may not be all.

Check /var/log

Check /var/log to maks sure cr*p isn't loading up in there Smiling

Jon

thanks jon

that's the first place i looked but the logs were being archived correctly; then i needed to find find big files recently altered.
