Superkaramba + SimplyMEPIS 3.4-1 rc1
Posts: 3
Hi! I was wondering if someone could help me install Superkaramba? I am a complete newbie to Linux and Mepis! I followed some older posts on how to install SuperKaramba_0.37-RC1-1, including upgrading Python and KDE, and managed to get it somewhat working (Liquid Weather would not run!) - this was on Mepis 3.3.1-1. I have tried installing both SuperKaramba_0.37-RC1-1 and SuperKaramba_0.37-RC2-1 without success on SimplyMEPIS 3.4-1 rc1. I would really like to have Liquid Weather running on my system!
Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

I believe that the easist way is to just download it using synaptic. Go into synaptic, then in repositories add: URI:ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ with distribution:unstable and section:main. After all of this just to a basic search for superkaramba and you should be able to find it. I did this and superkaramba works just great for me, including liquid-weather

Just wanted to say thanks for helping me out!
I am still running into an error with Liquid Weather ++. I tried to run the version of Liquid Weather ++ loaded in the KDE-Look.ORG Karamba screen. I keep getting the error "cannot rename partial file /tmp/kde/.... please check permissions". Any ideas?
Again, thanks for all the help and thanks in advance!

I believe CBlue over at http://mepislovers.org/ has provided a working copy of SuperKaramba. It is located in the downloads section of the forum under programs.

I had exactly the same problem as you during automatic download. Try downloading Liquid Weather manually (as *.skz file) and than add it to your superkaramba. It's working for me:)
