new install

I had to do this because I wasn't successful with lots of things when I did the kde3.4 upgrade with a new kernel, xorg and whatever else I changed.
However, I can sync my Palm again and have decent fonts and screen size after that big experiment.
I have multi partitions on several drives, have copied over home and my /var/cache/apt/archives to save all those downloads I did for extra packages and so on.
So when the next test release comes I can test it again on another partition.
