HPLIP package Upgrade
Posts: 69
It was noted in an announcement on the mepis site that an upgrade for HPLIP was available in the Mepis Apt Pool
However when I ran apt-get update and apt-get upgrade I got the following message:
The following packages have been kept back:
hpijs hplip hplip-data hplip-ppds
sources.list contains only the following (installed by 3.4.1-RC1):
# Primary
deb ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian etch main contrib non-free
# MEPIS apt pool - specific packages available on-line
deb http://apt.mepis.org/3.4 etch main
Do I need additional entries or to change existing entries?
I upgraded to udev from hotplug per advice in various fourms. Do I need to revert to hotplug? What are the related components refered to in the announcement, just the packages listed above or others?
Thanks.
