Anyone get sshfs - fuse working?

Anyone get sshfs - fuse working?

I did the apt-get install for sshfs and it all most works. But fails with:

fusermount: fuse device not found, try 'modprobe fuse' first

... which does not exist.

There's a Debian bug saying that /dev/fuse is not automatically created. I do not know how to do this with this release (I had to re-install once before because I installed udev when the release didn't support it, so I'd like to know before I put myself into re-install mode, again).
