3.4-2rc1 still wireless not found with pcmcia MA401 and WG511T

please Mepis developer see my other post about 341rc1.
the problem is identical in mepis 342rc1.

the oscenter (and iwconfig) does NOT find any wireless cards.

Having no errors loading modules I suspect it's a configuration issue - can anyone help?

update - 3.4-2rc1 wireless probs with pcmcia MA401 and WG511T

followed this instructions
http://www.mepislovers-wiki.org/index.php?title=Linksys_WUSB12%2C_prism2_usb_chipset

and now the MA401 uses the wlan0 interface and is shown as the wireless card in OS center

But I use WEP encryption and could not connect.
in the past it was enough to have the SSID and key set in OS center.
any hints on wlan and WEP ?

This is pretty basic but

This is pretty basic but make sure your mode and authtype settings are correct for your setup If you can connect without WEP, then it would seem to be a config issue.

yep, should try that first.
it just seems going back 2 years at least. older mepis were ok, and other distros are still ok. if I have to spend this awful lot of time to get things working I'd just use another distro as well.
Mepis is losing its key advantage.

solved

with 343rc3 : MA401 OK

WG511T likely to be damaged
