Request For Community Feedback
Thanks to everyone who has taken time to tell us about their printer problems and fixes. If your printer isn't working, please try the fixes and let us know if they work.
While we were hoping to go final with SimplyMEPIS 3.4-2 today, we are still hearing from many in the community whose printers aren't working. In order to try to fix this, we will be uploading SimplyMEPIS 3.4-2 RC 2 very soon and we need your help. Watch for Warren to upload the ISO sometime soon, then try it out and send us some feedback.
The biggest change in RC 2 is that we have switched to udev, which is replacing hotplug in the world of Linux. This is something we were planning for in the next release, but in an attempt to help those with printers that won't print, we decided it couldn't wait for the next release.
