Mepis 3.4 is not released

Mepis 3.4 is not released yet, sources will be probably made available when the kernel is going to be final or when the specific kernel get tested enough (at least that happened with 2.6.12-1-586tsc kernel).

BTW, kernels at mepislovers are not the official mepis kernels.

Please provide Kernel Source and Header Files for 3.4-3rc3

Hi Warren and anybody else in Mepis Development,

I urgently need Kernel Sources and Headers for the 2.6.15-1-586tsc kernel in SimplyMEPIS_3.4-3rc3 as need them in order to install Paralells (a VMware like environment) I have a client calling back in about 12 Hours and need to have the Kernel Source in order to Sucessfully install Parallels (It compiles on install therefore Kernel Source is required).

I have plenty of experience building kernels from source but H E L P!

If you like send me a private message with a link to the source etc...

b.t.w. Parallels is the easiest way to Run Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows XP, OS/2 and any other Linux etc... on top of Mepis and it only costs $49.00US (http://www.parallels.com)

p.s. 3.4 is looking G O O O O D!!!

I think you can just use the sources from kernel.org. I used those for compiling a couple of times (for a diferent kernel) and it worked OK....

Newbie or not Newbie, there's always a question

That's fine but the Debian Patches etc should be used...

I've located and downloaded the right sources now but I'm getting all manner of errors pertaining to Keys etc...

I'll install the latest libncurses5-dev and see if that fixes the problems.

Be Cool Cool

I think it's easier if you install the latest DCC kernel and its sources, this 2.6.15 has not been release yet.
