i wouldn't
grab yourself a " U.S. Robotics " 802.11g wireless gaming adapter & ethernet bridge. You set this sucker up once and never have to do it again(unless you change your network). it's built to gaming standards so it's fast, it has always worked with any linux distro i have tried. as long as your ethernet works with linux you will be good. here's the one i use on all my computers->
