Nooooooooooooo!!!!! The WEP does not work for me.(IMB laptop T41. My wireless card is an Intel(R) Pro/Wireless LAN 2100 3B.)
dmesg says:
ieee80211_crypt_wep: disagrees about version of symbol ieee80211_register_crypto_ops
ieee80211_crypt_wep: Unknown symbol ieee80211_register_crypto_ops
ieee80211_crypt_wep: disagrees about version of symbol ieee80211_unregister_crypto_ops
ieee80211_crypt_wep: Unknown symbol ieee80211_unregister_crypto_ops
eth1: could not initialize WEP: load module ieee80211_crypt_wep
With WEP turned off everythink is fine. 3.3.2 and 3.4.3RC1 works fine with WEP.
Can anybody help?
It took a long time.....but.....

Jiiiiiipeyyyy yooooooo!!!! Finally I got my wifi with wep up&running
In case if this could help others with the same problem here is how I did it:
1) With synaptic I uninstalled:
ieee80211 network stack modules for Linux (kernel 2.6.15****)
ipw2100
ipw2200
2)Restarting the computer
3)Used Ndiswrapper and installed my W_XP-driver
4) Restarted
5) Mepis Config (os-center)
- My wireless is now found on wlan0.
- Putting in my wifi configutarion.
- indicate that wlan0 should start on boot.
6) Reboot
7) UP&RUNNING with WIFI!!!!!

Sorry..3.4.3RC1 does not work with wep. 3.4.2rc1&rc2 works fine for me
In order to work I am setting up dual boot system with common home directory. (3.4.2rc2 WEP and 3.4.3 NO_WEP. Later I will set up a "trial boot system" The third installation I will use as "unstable"for testing the upgrading and new programs installs before doing it on my "stable" systems.
