First unsatisfactory install of MEPIS.

I installed MEPIS 3.4.3 onto a Dell Deminsion 2400. The install appeared to go well. This particular box was connected to the Internet using a DSL connection, which was connected to the computer via eth0.
I used MEPIS OS Center to configure the eth0 as a DHCP connection.
I used the ADSL option on the System menu (PPPoE) and it appeared to set up ok. I used pon dsl-provider, which appeared to work ok.
Then I tried the "Start" button adjacent to eth0 on the Status page of the OS Center. It wouldn't respond. The KInternet monitor said that /dev/capi20 (IIRC) couldn't be found.

Wouldn't it be nice of a DSL configuration option was added to the MEPIS OS Center?
