Sound drops for no reason: worked 2 days ago
Nothing changed; no updates. nada
I was bebopping along listening to audio on CDuniverse. Then the sound drops when I close and open something in File mgr.
I am using Kaffeine as the default player, but none of the audio players work.
Sound came back last night after I rebooted a couple of times.
Sound comes back when I start to shut down sometimes.
RANT:
At least in windows, an ugly error message will give you some clue as to what is causing problems or the hardware profile will show a conflict.

It seems to fail when during and after I run "Limewire".
IYHO, which is a better player:
Amarok? (currently running wma files)
Kaffeine
or mplayer (kplayer)
