no sound in 3.4.3Hi. I have been running mepis since 2003 and have been quite happy with it. Well, I've heard that the current Mepis (3.4.3) is quick and I wanted to see. S I obtaained it and I do agree; it is quick! Unfortunately there is no icewm aand after the desktop loads an information window appears saying that the sound server will run with a null setting. Any idea what I can do to fix this? »

As far as IceWM goes, MEPIS uses KDE, always has, but you can download IceWM from the Debian repos.
