I have a conon s750 but use the closest driver I can find in mepis 3.4.3 which is the s600 - print wizard will not accept the s800.
Is it possible to get better printing than barely readable draft mode please.
Thanks

Try the bj8200 driver and jackup the resolution to 600 by 600 with the new cups+ type driver . The old foomatic ones dont work with 3.4.3 anymore. Allso while i was playing with my S600 i installed some more printer libs etcetra but dont know if they had any effect on it working or not . Just a heads up in case you cant get it working . But you would think it would work with s700 or 800 drivers as long as its the new ones. Gutenprint is the name of the new drivers that work in 3.4.3 ver5.0.0-rc2 , give them a try . They work with my s600 so should work with your s750.

to get an idea of how far along 'they' are at achieving print driver support for the S750 (it's not even listed yet).
Canon has been, IMHO, Linux antagonistic--to a certain degree.
Tip: Never buy one of their scanners.
