Security Update with Mepis
Thank you for your answer,
one question more:
I want to know if I add my Synaptic line for stable or woody (etch)
deb http://security.debian.org/(stable?/woody?) update main
Etch is the answer. I have
Etch is the answer.
I have tried having stable in there as well, but as MEPIS is mainly/totally based on Etch it didn't seem to be of any use.
Just makes refreshes/reloads of the repos slower and puts unnessary load on the repo servers.
I'm lead to believe MEPIS repos also have updated packages to fix known holes. So to keep your MEPIS feel and look I would give these preferance.
My thoughts, would someone with more know-how please correct any mis-information in this post.

Re: Etch is the answer. I have
I am certainly not qualified to comment on everything here but I do know this much:
MEPIS uses etch/testing repos and MEPISlite uses sarge/stable repos.
