"Press F2 for Details"

Instead of having to "Press F2 for Details", I want to get rid of the splash screen, so that I get the text messages automatically, on both boot and shutdown. Is there an easy way of doing that?

I was the prevous post and went to edit it, but it disappeared?
un install " splashy " to get the details in boot.
I think it boots faster too. No extra package [ splashy ] to open up, and less lines, no 20% and so forth.
