SimplyMEPIS alpha - amazing

I must say I am amazed at the quality of MEPIS 6.0a. I have never seen an alpha issue of this excellence. It is better than almost all finished products.

I have installed every version of MEPIS since the very first, and this is by far the best. EVERYTHING (yes everything) seems to work perfectly on my P3 - including all the multimedia I have tried, and I have tried the great majority of the software.

I would never before have dreamed of using an alpha version as my primary Linux version, but I shall be this one.

It is also noticeably faster than any of the other Linux versions I have installed at present - and they include PCLinuxOS, Suse 10.0, Fedora 5, Ubuntu 5.10, Kanotix 2006, and even Gentoo (Kororaa).
