Clock Problems
Posts: 4
Hi-
I'm new to MEPIS but not to Linux. I've used several other distro's over the past year or so, including Xandros and Linspire. I've just downloaded and installed MEPIS on a Compaq Presario 2175US notebook, which has a Turion 64b processor. Everything seemed to install OK except the internal wireless card, which is not surprising.
My immediate problem is with the system clock. If you pull up the clock and watch the seconds tick by, you can see they are going at just about 'double speed'. After an hour or so of running MEPIS, the internal clock was running about an hour ahead of time. I've never seen anything like this before, so I'm posting under the motherboard section as I assume this may be related to the AMD 64b processor? Is there a 64 bit version of MEPIS I should have installed? Other ideas?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jon - I added noapic to the boot line and that takes care of it.
