I'm using MEPIS 6.0.1 and try to make a business card scanner work with it...
- SANE and USB libraries are installed
- sane-find-scanner shows the device
- also cat /proc/bus/usb/devices shows the device as usb:003:002
- however none of the applications, ie quiteinsane, xsane show the scanner
- scanimage --list-devices also doesn't show it
--> the OS recognices the scanner but the applications seem to have trouble with it.
? How to configure ? Maybe using SANE-PLUSTEK since it uses the LM9832 chip ?

The Sane project doesn't list your scanner as a supported one.
Someone wrote a standalone driver for the Travelscan 660 - but it was written for 2.4 series kernels and won't compile on my Mepis install (w/ 2.6 kernel).
